Rasmalai is one of India's most famous desserts: soft cheese discs soaked in sweetened milk flavored with saffron, cardamom, and nuts.
Ingredients
- 1 liter full-fat milk
- Lemon juice or white vinegar
- Sugar, saffron, cardamom, pistachio, almonds
Steps
Boil the milk and add the coagulant to curdle it. Strain, knead gently, shape into discs, then cook in sweetened water. Move them into sweetened milk flavored with saffron and cardamom, and serve cold garnished with pistachio and almonds.
